Your settings in classic CS 1.6

Hey guys, how’s it going? Tell me, have any of you ever changed the default settings in classic CS 1.6? Which specific setting didn’t work for you, if you don’t mind sharing? When I downloaded the game from CSget https://csget.me/ I was mentally prepared for the fact that I’d have to spend a long time painstakingly tweaking my mouse sensitivity. But it turned out to be much easier—it was already set to my favorite 0.9, so I could basically start playing right away. The only thing I personally changed was the crosshair; I didn’t really like the default green one, so I tweaked it a bit. What can you say about your settings in classic CS 1.6?

Hey! Oh, settings are sacred in 1.6 — every “old-timer” has their own personal code there. Listen, you’re really lucky with your sensor! That’s usually the most painful part when you install a new build. When I downloaded the clean version from csget.me, the first thing I did was check the mouse acceleration in Windows and the launch options, but honestly, the build from csget.me was so well-optimized for modern systems that I ended up tweaking just a couple of minor things. As for what I didn’t like: the dynamic crosshair always bothered me. You know, that standard “cross” that spreads across half the screen when you jump or run. I immediately type cl_dynamiccrosshair 0 into the console to make it static. It makes it easier to control the aim and understand where the first bullet will actually go. As for the color—classic green is fine, but on some maps like Aztek it blends in with the textures, so I often set it to red or light blue for better contrast. Another important detail in my settings is the crosshair size. In the build from csget.me, the default is adequate, but I prefer cl_crosshair_size small. The smaller the dot in the center, the easier it is to land headshots at long ranges, for example, when aiming at a pixel-sized head across the length of Dust 2.
